Many of you requested for healthy recipes to be posted here on Bake Happy. Not to worry, I hear you! One of my New Year resolutions is to try to stay healthy so you’ll be seeing more healthy recipes. You see? We’re on the same page!
Today, we’re starting simple. We’re making Mango Banana Smoothie, perfect to start the day right! Or a healthier choice for a pick me up. I love mangoes and bananas too especially at it’s ripest state so I try to incorporate it in my smoothie recipes. This smoothie is super simple to make, here’s how.
Okay, so a word about bananas, it’s okay to use over ripe and bruised bananas. Don’t throw them out at this state. They are the healthiest and the sweetest at this point. I used 6 medium sized lakatan bananas for this recipe.
Now, the mangoes, make sure to choose the sweetest and ripest you can find. If you still crave for the smoothie to be sweet but can’t find the ripest of mangoes (I know, it happens.), you can add coco sugar to the smoothie. Or you can do without it as well.
Blend together bananas, mangoes, water or coconut water until smooth. Then pour into serving glasses.
This Mango Banana Smoothie recipe makes two cups.
- 6 medium sized bananas
- 1/2 cup water or coconut water
- 1 big mango
- Blend bananas, water (or coconut water) and mangoes until smooth.
- Pour in serving glasses and serve.
