A staple merienda when I was growing up is avocado with condensed milk. Super ripe avocado gets mashed in a bowl then drizzled with condensed milk (and evaporated milk). It’s so easy to make you can whip it up in just seconds. It’s creamy, sweet and absolutely refreshing. When chilled, it’s the perfect snack after playing outside all afternoon.
Today, we’re making a smoothie out of the avocados I bought over the weekend. I let it ripen a bit first before making it into a smoothie. For a healthier version, instead of using sugar or condensed milk to sweeten the avocados, I used a ripe banana. Totally a win-win situation. Here’s how I made it.
Blend avocados, water (or milk) and bananas until smooth.
Pour in serving glasses and serve. This recipe can made two cups of creamy avocado smoothie.

- 2 medium sized bananas
