Hey everyone! Aikko (a.k.a Bake Happy blogger here) coming to you live from the Bake Happy kitchen. The oven is resting today since instead of a dessert, I’m showing you part 2 of 2 of the Pumpkin Patch Cake Tutorial. Isn’t today exciting?
Even more exciting because it’s a fondant figures tutorial of a little girl sitting down. I already showed you a fondant figures tutorial for a little girl here, but she’s standing up. This time, I wanted the little girl sitting down, surrounded with lots of pumpkins from this tutorial. Ready to start?
FALL INSPIRED: Fondant Girl on a Pumpkin Patch Tutorial
What we need:
Fondant in reddish brown, flesh toned, white, red and brown (I used a combination of Satin Ice and Marshmallow Fondant) Toothpick for support Flower cutter Knife Fondant or Gumpaste tools Water and brush to glue things together (1) Roll flesh colored fondant in to a long cylinder. This will be the feet. Form it into a v-shape.
(2) Cut out 3 flower shaped fondants. Using a ball tool, smoothen out the sides.
(3) Place it on top of the little girl’s legs. This will be the skirt.
(4) Using the reddish brown fondant, shape it into a cone with a not so pointed top.
(5) Now position a pumpkin in front of the little girl. Shape 2 reddish brown fondant to become the little girl’s arms.
(6) Add some details.
(7) Attach to the little girl’s body and roll flesh colored fondant into balls to become the hands.
(8) Add details to the top like buttons and collar. Roll flesh colored fondant into a ball to become the neck.
(9) To form the face, roll flesh colored fondant into a ball. Create eye sockets.
(10) Add the eyes using brown fondant.
(11) Add the nose and smiling lips.
(12) Add the hair. I want the little girl to have pig tails.
(13) Lastly, score the hair to create lines. Add ears. And lastly add socks and shoes using while and brown fondant respectively.
(14) Arrange the little girl on an 8-inch cake and surround her with pumpkins.
Hope you like it, everyone!
Aikko
