Because sometimes, all we need is a little peach and quiet.
Strike that, let’s begin again, shall we?
Because sometimes, all we need is a little peace and quiet.
Before 2014 officially begins (I know we all are still on vacation mode) and we all go back to regular programming, wouldn’t it be real nice to take a break, disconnect and re-charge? Set the pace on how we’ll live 2014?
Oh yes, it’s here now. 2013 is officially over. Hello, 2014! Happy new year year everyone!
So as part of taking a break, I’m also letting my oven take a breather, as well as my whisk, my mixer, my sifter, my measuring spoons and cups. They all needed a break from me (I think). For this comfort food, all we need are spoons and plates of your choice.
Let’s not forget that we need peaches and cream as well, okay? This recipe is really simple, anyone can do this in their sleep. My mom taught me this recently, I can’t believe she taught me this one just now! Peaches and cream is so simple to make yet so luxurious and comforting at the same time. It’s a no bake so there’s no fuss. It’s a no cook so no gas will be used in making this dessert. It’s a no mix so your hands won’t even realize it made something so special. Tell me, how easy is that?
Peaches and Cream
What we need:
1 can of peaches
1 250 ml carton of cream
A sprinkle of cinnamon
1. Slice the peaches in bite size pieces. Place in a small dessert plate, or cup, or bowl of your choice. Drizzle in the syrup from the can. How much? It depends on how sweet you want your peaches and cream to be.
2. Add in cream and sprinke a dash of cinnamon on top. How much cream? Depends on you.
3. Grab a spoon, a book you want to read in a long time, or an e-book reader – your choice, settle in your favorite chair and savor peace and quiet.
ps: All the best in 2014!!!
